Equipment for high-speed packaging of a wide range of products will be supplied by German concern Haver & Boecker for Ural Plant of Deicing Materials. This will allow the company to increase production volumes as a part of the retail market development project.

Start-up investment in the construction and purchase of equipment for the retail packaging workshop will be about 1.5 million euros. German technology will make it possible to pack more than 200 thousand tons of deicing materials per year.

We estimate that now the level of sales of deicing materials in the segment of retail in Russia varies around 20 thousand tons per year, but this niche has a potential. Therefore, at the moment the new line can meet the country's needs in full, and also meet the growing demand in future. "In addition, the capacity of the purchased equipment will allow to meet orders of potential partners in the packaging of granular substances", told the press service of UZPM.

The line will be fully automated, the packaging will be performed using FFS-film. Thus, UZPM plans to develop sale of deicing materials in bags of 10-50 kilograms.

The signing of the contract between the companies took place on January 23 at the site of "Packaging-2018" exhibition, which takes place in Moscow. Installation and launch of the new line will be performed in coming time.
