On March 15, 2023, Sergey Katyrin, President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI) of the Russian Federation, visited a specialized research test centre of SOYUZEXPERTIZA ANO Expert Organization of the CCI of Russia in Dolgoprudny, where he examined laboratory facilities and evaluated capabilities of the organization.
The research test centre in Dolgoprudny is the only Russian laboratory specializing in the development and comprehensive evaluation of deicing fluids and deicing materials.
Amid sanctions imposed on Russia, the laboratory facility of SOYUZEXPERTIZA ANO research centre has become very important for the industry at the same time becoming strategically important.
Before the last year there were only two independent laboratories to test and evaluate deicing liquids in the world: in Canada and in the USA. Now there is such a facility in Russia.
“Meteorologists note that due to the increased human-induced load, climate changes have become more evident: many years ago abnormally cold or snowy winters in Russia were observed once every hundred years, now, since the end of the 20th century, they can be observed once a decade. To ensure flight safety, the demand for deicing fluids is increasing. To remove ice, reduce winter injuries and accidents on the roads, large and medium-sized cities refuse using sand-and-salt mixtures while increasing the demand for advanced deicing materials,” Olga Bondarenko, Manager of the laboratory facility of the research centre of SOYUZEXPERTIZA ANO of the CCI of Russia, said.
The new centre ensures quality and safety control of these materials: a unique climatic chamber allows the laboratory to simulate specific weather conditions. The equipment makes it possible to conduct a full range of research to develop and evaluate deicing fluids for aviation and deicing material for roads.
Marat Bimatov, General Director of SOYUZEXPERTIZA ANO of the CCI of Russia noticed, “The establishment of the research centre of SOYUZEXPERTIZA ANO of the CCI of Russia took over three years and required significant investment: the volume of investment in the laboratory facility construction and equipment amounted to about 70 million rubles. We believe in this project. In 2022, the first tests already began at the new research center, and, this year, by the 100th anniversary of the expert group of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, we are going to reach a significant volume of services rendered.”
The research centre of SOYUZEXPERTIZA of the CCI of Russia complies with GOST ISO/IEC 17025 international quality management standard for test and calibration laboratories.
The Centre is located in the territory of TOS Chemical Industrial Park where in the Soviet period leading chemical facilities operated. The availability of well-built infrastructure, unique equipment, and skilled personnel, as well as partnership with the large modern Vnukovo International Airport, allows us to quickly and efficiently solve problems in the aviation, road, and chemical industries.
After visiting the laboratory and after attending the presentation of capabilities of TOS Chemical Industrial Park, Sergey Katyrin, President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation, took part in the discussion of prospects of the research centre of SOYUZEXPERTIZA of the CCI of the Russian Federation in Dolgoprudny.
“TOS Chemical Industrial Park can be regarded as an example of modern infrastructure for the development of low-tonnage chemical production. The Industrial Park was developed at the facilities of the legendary Fine Organic Synthesis Company in Dolgoprudny, and today it includes modern laboratories, manufacturers of organic chemicals, products for pharmacy and for road industry. Such aggregation of resources and ideas allows companies to have synergetic effect of joint activities. And, of course, the research centre of SOYUZEXPERTIZA of the CCI of the Russian Federation is an important part of this project and a promising component of the expert infrastructure of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry,” Sergey Katyrin emphasized.
