From April 24 to April 26, 2024, the Housing and Utility Infrastructure of Russia — the 20th International Exhibition — was held in Saint Petersburg. This is the main convention and exhibition event of the housing and utility industry in Russia and the CIS, in the framework of which top experts of the industry annually evaluate achievements in the utility infrastructure development, discuss prospects and new areas for development, and share new ideas.
Leading manufacturers of equipment for housing and utility infrastructure presented the latest developments in the field of the housing stock use and maintenance, in the field of major and current repairs, municipal equipment, energy- and resource-saving technologies, automation and software for metering and control devices, waste management, renovation and preservation of cultural heritage sites. Ural Plant of Deicing Materials (UZPM) presented Bionord environment-friendly deicing agents and Bionord Shampoo asphalt surface cleaning agent to visitors and exhibitors.
“This is not the first time we have participated in the Housing and Utility Infrastructure of Russia international exhibition, but this year this is an anniversary exhibition and its scale has become significantly bigger in terms of the number of exhibitors, business programme intensity, and in terms of the number of participants: a lot of specialists from all over the country, the CIS, and China have come to Saint Petersburg to share their experience and advanced technologies in housing and utility infrastructure. A lot of participants and visitors of the exhibition have demonstrated their interest in UZPM products,” Dmitriy Zainichkovsky, Sales Director of UZPM Trading House shared his impressions after the exhibition.
At UZPM booth Aleksey Eresko, Deputy Minister of Construction, Housing, and Utility Infrastructure of the Russian Federation, and Evgeniy Razumishkin, Vice-Governor of Saint Petersburg, familiarized themselves with and highly appreciated Bionord line of products for inter-seasonal road maintenance: Bionord Shampoo and Bionord Antidust.
In the framework of the exhibition business programme a roundtable discussion on “The Maintenance of Public Roads of Local Importance, Streets, and Buildings’ Adjacent Territories in View of Comprehensive Cleaning” was held, during which Evgeniy Nemirovsky, Adviser to the General Director of UZPM for Development, made a report “Modern Approach to Coping with Slipperiness in Winter on Public Roads and Street and Road Network in Saint Petersburg.”
In Saint Petersburg, deicing is of particular importance due to narrow sidewalks freezing in winter, strong winds, and a humid climate. Advanced agents of UZPM manufacture have been used in small volumes in Saint Petersburg since 2011 mainly by private customers and by organizations servicing cultural heritage sites: in the territory of the Hermitage, Mariinsky Theater, Palace Square, in the territory of the Palace in Tsarskoye Selo. In autumn 2023 the advisability of using Bionord in Saint Petersburg was recognized by Saint Petersburg scientific and technical council in the field of housing and utility infrastructure.
