On April 4, 2023, BionordPro team stars who took first prize at the international Red Square Cup in Moscow, met UZPM staff and management in Perm. The basketball players brought the precious cup and received letters of thanks from Perm Krai Ministry of Sports sent by Tatiana Chesnokova, Minister of Physical Culture and Sports of the Perm Krai.
The international 3x3 Basketball Red Square Cup finished in Moscow on March 26. After a fierce final matchup with Moscow Inanomo, BionordPro team, supported by Ural Plant of Deicing Materials, won (score: 16 to 15), and became the owner of the Red Square Cup.
“3x3 basketball developed in Perm Krai thanks to the success of BionordPro team, has reached a new orbit. Perm youth has recently demonstrated an increased interest in this particular type of the famous game. UZPM is proud to support such honored world-class basketball players. Even some sports commentators state that today you represent 3x3 basketball !” Dmitriy Pylev, CEO of UZPM, congratulated Perm basketball players.
“This is a very precious prize for us, as this is the first trophy that we have won for Perm Krai. It was important to demonstrate to our fans and management that it is not for nothing that we are here,” Aleksei Zherdev, BionordPro coach, commented the victory at Red Square Cup.
This year the final matchup of 3x3 Basketball Russian Championship is going to be held from June 28 through July 2 in Perm. There are going to be two Perm Krai teams: BionordPro and Bionord.
