The first snow in the administrative centre of Altai Krai is expected in the last 10 days of October. By that moment, the system preparation for the street and road network maintenance in winter is to be completed to ensure the availability of deicing materials in a required amount, vehicle fleet, and necessary staffing for municipal services.
As of today, the vehicle fleet is 85% ready. The maintenance of roads and pavements will be arranged on a 24/7 basis using 248 units of special vehicles.
46 000 tonnes of deicing materials are going to be prepared for the street and road network maintenance, including Bionord agent of UZPM manufacture, which, according to Barnaul road workers, “is a material of enhanced efficiency”.
This year, additional 100 million rubles is to be spent for the city maintenance in winter. The money is to be used for three sections of the street and road network which have not been on the list before, as well as for road sections experiencing increased load. In total, more than 752 million rubles is going to be spent for the street and road network maintenance in winter.
