On September 27–29, 2023, at Expo Volga Exhibition Centre, under the auspices of the Government of the Samara Region and the Samara City Administration “Comfortable Urban Environment” Exhibition-Forum was held.
Now large-scale work is under way in Russia to improve territories, so similar exhibitions and conferences dedicated to the creation, maintenance, and development of a comfortable urban environment, recreation parks, public spaces, and protected areas are held in the framework of the “Housing and Urban Environment” national project in many regions.
Ural Plant of Deicing Materials and its environment-friendly products for winter maintenance of streets in cities and apartment building yard spaces represented Perm Krai at the Exhibition-Forum and captured the attention of representatives of local homeowner associations.
The interest in UZPM products is caused by the reduction of costs and saving of time needed for outdoor space maintenance in winter and subsequent cleanup in spring. However, it is equally important that the use of advanced deicing materials significantly reduces pedestrian injuries; such products are safe for green spaces and do not harm pets. Moreover, residents of apartment buildings dislike sand and salt mixture, which, in addition to being ineffective at low temperatures, pollutes outdoor spaces and entrance halls and clogs storm drains, thus leading to flooding of pavements in spring and summer.
Of course, not only Samara homeowner associations and management companies understand that, which is evidenced by almost 30% increase in the volume of retail sales of UZPM deicing materials through big retail chains and distributors last year, which includes Moscow and Kazan.
Managers of homeowner associations also noticed that deicing materials of UZPM manufacture are good for particularly sensitive areas of outdoor spaces, for instance, in children’s playgrounds and public spaces.
