During this season, the volume of deicing materials sold by UZPM to retail chains has increased by 27% as compared to the previous season data.
The supply of deicing materials produced by Ural Plant of Deicing Materials for retail sale in large retail chains in winter 2022/2023 increased in volume.
The Company entered into contracts with the following two new big partners: Castorama federal retail chain and Vertical dealer company supplying UZPM products to regional retailers. Supplies to the largest continuing partners of the Plant, such as Leroy Merlin, have also increased (15% increase as compared to the same period of the last season) and Komus (13% increase).
Among the regions where the volume of sales of deicing materials is the most significant are Moscow and Kazan.
It should be noted that the end of February and the beginning of March are characterized by periodic freezing rains and increased slipperiness contributing to the increase in demand and growth in retail sales of deicing materials both offline and via e-commerce. The automated line launched last year at UZPM and equipped with Haver & Boecker robotic centre for the production of agent packed in 10 to 50 kg bags ensures the availability of products to cover growing retail demand.
