UZPM LLC is planning to increase the existing volumes of deicing materials production by another 128 thousand tons per year through the use of new investments.
On June 6, in the framework of the Saint Petersburg International Economic Forum, Dmitriy Pylev, the company's CEO, and Denis Bortnikov, Deputy President and Chairman of VTB Bank Management Board, signed an agreement on issuing bank guarantees for 450 million rubles to the Industrial Development Fund for up to five years to receive a loan under the program “Development Projects”.
The company for the development and production of modern deicing materials, founded 10 years ago by Rustam Gilfanov, has already introduced several advanced technologies and tools for the winter maintenance of road facilities in Russia. Several years of UZPM LLC activity has allowed replacing the import of deicing means and raw materials almost completely.
“With the financial support of the banking sector, the domestic manufacturer will continue its import substitution program. “VTB Bank is an important partner of the group of companies for projects implementation in order to optimize business and increase production efficiency,” said Rustam Gilfanov, head of UZPM Group of Companies. - Investments will allow implementing a large project of import-substituting production of raw materials for deicing materials production and products for the oil industry. A plant for processing mineral raw materials, which currently is the first of its kind in the Russian Federation, will be the main technological component.”
According to Rustam Gilfanov, environment care and creating safe conditions for drivers and pedestrians in winter are another two important tasks for the group of companies, along with the development of the country's economy in general and economy of the Perm Territory in particular. UZPM LLC invests significant funds not only in technical re-equipment, but also in research activities. “Through many years of research we managed to develop deicing compositions, which are among the safest ones for the environment and infrastructure of the city to date. In addition, their use significantly reduces accidents and injuries in winter, which is confirmed by official statistics,” emphasized the head of the UZPM Group of Companies.
