The project of the Ural Plant of Deicing Materials for production of special purpose agents for treatment of airports and bridges and of anti-frost concrete additives for the needs of construction industry has been financially supported by the Industry Development Fund and its regional department in Perm Region.
Head of UZPM Group Rustam Gilfanov says that the company’s Krasnokamsk site is going to accommodate a storage and processing center for materials which are presently produced primarily abroad.

“Thus, we will use our in-house resources to significantly decrease the dependence of Russian consumers on the Chinese and European markets where most of the necessary materials are currently produced. The total amount of investment approximates RUB 378 million and is partially provided by the Fund. The attracted investment amount is RUB 100 million”, Rustam Gilfanov commented. |
The potential consumers of the new products are the major national airports, road service and construction industry enterprises.
The Head of UZPM also mentioned other implications of the new product line, such as more jobs in the company and more taxes paid to the budget.
As was previously reported, UZPM entered into a contract with Glatt Ingenieurtechnik (Weimar, Germany) for manufacturing of a versatile production unit that will enable a launch of a new series of special purpose chloride-free deicing materials. In the course of several years, the Perm company has been conducting laboratory tests in the Glatt engineering and technology center. As a result, the best product compositions and production technologies were established.
Commissioning of the unit is planned for 2019. Glatt Ingenieurtechnik is the leading equipment manufacturer in the European market.
