On August 5, 2023, Neftianik stadium at V. P. Sukharev Sport Centre in Perm hosted the WTG FOOTBALL CUP 2023 – a traditional sports event arranged by Winter Technologies Group (WTG) bringing together industrial companies specializing in winter technologies, and Ural Plant of Deicing Materials is among them.
The WTG FOOTBALL CUP is a real sports festival, giving employees of industrial companies the opportunity to get out of offices and workshops, feel the competitive spirit and atmosphere of a real football championship, kick a ball, and strengthen relationship with their colleagues. In addition to this, it is also a family holiday: a lot of players come to the WTG FOOTBALL CUP with their loved ones who can cheer for their players and, at the same time, benefit from the eventful sports and entertainment programme for children and adults, enjoy treats, prizes, gifts, and surprises.
This year, on August 5, twelve teams participated in the WTG football tournament: UZPM (Krasnokamsk), Bionord (Perm), Sintez (Moscow, Dolgoprudny, Roshal), NGT (Perm), Polyex (Perm), Halopolymer (Perm), T+ Group (Perm), Halopolymer (Kirovo-Chepetsk), BSZ (Berezniki), Metafrax Chemicals (Gubakha), Goznak (Krasnokamsk), and Belaruskali (Soligorsk). The matches were held in the 5+1 format. Again Andrey Arshavin was a guest of honour of the WTG FOOTBALL CUP; he held an autograph signing session and training classes for young football players. Viktor Gusev and Konstantin Genich, famous Russian football commentators, commented on the match.
This time, Belaruskali, the winner of the previous year, dropped out of the competition at the stage of qualifying games in groups and the two teams representing Ural Plant of Deicing Materials encountered in the match for first place: UZPM, consisting of the administrative department employees, and Bionord, represented by the production facility personnel. The match ended in favor of Bionord.

Football life at our company is full. Our teams have proven that today they are the best in amateur futsal in Perm Krai. The fact that this year both teams competing in the final match for the WTG Cup represented one company is a result of the devotion and enthusiasm of our employees. They manage to combine productive work at the company with high sports activity in leisure hours,” Dmitry Pylev, General Director of UZPM, shared his impressions.
