The Perm City Administration noticed considerable contribution of UZPM to the environment awareness building and active participation in the arrangement of events focused on environmental safety. The Plant also received an official letter of thanks for the assistance in organizing and holding “The Nature of the City” EcoFest which took place on June 2-3 at the Perm Esplanade.
Ural Plant of Deicing Materials actively supports environmental initiatives in Perm Krai. Just this year, the company employees helped to plant young plants of elms and lindens on Pushkin Street as a part of “300 Trees for the 300th Anniversary of Perm” environmental event, replaced dead willows on the alley near the District Palace of Culture in Krasnokamsk, participated in the Garden of Memory campaign and helped to collect more than 2.5 tons of waste by showing themselves at the Clean Games on the Palta River.
Earlier this year UZPM became a winner of Eco Best Award in the “Environment-Friendly Process of the Year” category. Moreover, the good effect of using the environment-friendly line of our deicing materials in winter maintenance of the road infrastructure on the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions was noticed at summarizing the results of “The Best ESG Project of Russia” programme in the “Combating Climate Change. Low Carbon Economy” category.
