Managers and representatives of HR departments of the largest companies in Perm Krai shared their experience in mentoring and solving important HR problems during “Perm Experience: Mentoring” industrial forum, which took place at Kama Pulp and Paper Mill.

The forum participants discussed the best options for selecting mentors for adaptation training and on-the-job training, shared their experience in motivating mentors to transfer their knowledge, in mentoring process organization for different categories of employees, and also discussed cases of mentoring implementation and shared the best experience.

UZPM representatives attended the forum as well. Svetlana Baryshnikova, the HR Director of the Company, was among the event participants. According to Svetlana, the live exchange of experience was useful for such companies.

“2023 was declared the Year of Teachers and Mentors in Russia, but the use of mentoring technologies to ensure professional development and achieve a high level of professionalism is still of particular importance. Mentoring is not just a way of formation of young specialists, their development and adaptation to skilled performance of their duties. This is also the transfer of knowledge and experience important for acquiring mastery at a particular workplace and for strengthening the prestige of blue-collar jobs, engineering and office professions,” Svetlana noticed.

A trip around the production facility of the pulp and paper mill was offered to the participants. The guests of the company got acquainted with the experience of implementing a mentoring system at the plant.
